It is the mission of the Cape May County Association of Realtors® to be the voice of real estate by providing quality service to its members, improving their ability to conduct business successfully, enforcing the Code of Ethics, enhancing the REALTOR® image by encouraging community involvement, promoting equal housing opportunity and protecting private property rights.
Chartered in 1946 as the Greater Wildwood Board of REALTORS®, CMCAR® is a local board under the auspices of the National Association of REALTORS® and New Jersey REALTORS®. CMCAR® provides services to its 1,300 members, including owning and operating the Cape May County Multiple Listing Service. The fifteen-member Board of Directors meets six times a year to create and oversee policy and address industry issues. Educational activities for REALTOR® members include courses in New Jersey required continuing education for license renewal, general membership meetings, technical instruction, designation courses and professional development seminars.
CMCAR® believes in giving back to the community. College scholarships are awarded annually to local high school graduates. Fundraising activities raise monies for local charitable organizations.
